Bird Friendly Coffee Takes Flight in Maryland
COLLEGE PARK -Grown on farms with a forest-like habitat—complete with a canopy of trees to shade the beans while they grow—the coffee is produced without the use of pesticides and provides a natural refuge for birds on the move. Maryland Emissions-Related Death Rate Highest in U.S.
COLLEGE PARK – Long-term exposure to air pollution leads a higher percentage of the population in Maryland to die prematurely than in any other state, according to a new study on the impact of air quality on health. The problem is particularly acute in Baltimore, which boasts the highest emissions-related mortality rate of large cities in the country, according to the study.
